We fall calve so we don't have to fight snow or mud, the cows can be left alone to calve outside and we can satisfy both a spring and fall customer base.
Dennis and Lori grew up on family farms about 12 miles apart and are both lifelong cattle enthusiasts, dating back to their 4-H days showing Limousin, Angus and Charolais heifers and steers. They share a love for red hides and base genetic selection on breeding in the best possible combination of muscling, mothering and marbling from the Red Angus and Limousin breeds. Red hides give cattle a heat tolerance advantage and not only does Limousin ensure a quality carcass, it is the only non-humped beef cattle breed that sweats, making the Red Angus and Limousin combo ideal for herds and feedlots that see hot days.
